A comparative study by the American Hypnosis Clinic showed the following results for addressing the same issue:

It's difficult to determine the exact number of sessions needed to resolve issues, as it varies from person to person. Some issues may be resolved in just 1 or 2 sessions, while others may take longer. I generally recommend budgeting for 3 sessions initially. After the first session, we'll have a better understanding of whether additional, deeper work will be necessary.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

There are many misconceptions about hypnosis; however, hypnosis is completely safe and highly beneficial. There are no contraindications or adverse effects associated with hypnotherapy. It is important for clients opting for hypnotherapy to genuinely want to resolve the unwanted situation they are in. Often, they turn to hypnotherapy after reaching a certain level with previous treatments but still findthemselves limited in their regular life activities.

The first visit to a hypnotherapist lasts from 90 to 120 minutes and consists  of three parts:

After introductions, your hypnotherapist will ask you to fill out a questionnaire and a confidentiality agreement. For the treatment to be successful, it is essential that the client visits the hypnotherapist on one’s own initiative and not at the insistence of another person. It is also crucial to answer all questions posed by the hypnotherapist to accurately define the situation that often seems hopeless to the client.

Through targeted questions, the situation you wish to resolve will be better defined, and goals will be set that you aim to achieve with the help of hypnotherapy. Whether you seek to relieve anxiety or stress, boost your self-confidence, overcome fears, lose weight, quit smoking, make a decision, or improve performance in sports or school by finding new motivation, it is important that the hypnotherapist and client work as a team for hypnotherapy to achieve good results.

Following the initial consultation, and with the client’s consent, the hypnotherapist guides the client into a state of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state of the human mind, evidenced by the fact that we all enter a state of hypnosis multiple times each day without even realizing it. It is a state similar to sleep, characterized by focused concentration, where the conscious part of brain activity makes way for the subconscious.

This allows us to tap into the natural resources of the human subconscious to identify the root cause of the problem, which prevents the client from functioning harmoniously with themselves and their environment. Subsequently, with positive suggestions, we eliminate the cause and make the necessary “steps” to achieve the client’s set goal.

After returning to a fully awake state, the hypnotherapist will ask the client a few brief questions to help the client “consciously process” each part of the therapy and its benefits. By answering these questions, the client becomes aware of the facts and their new perceptions, which is the first positive sign that they are receptive to continuing therapy. This continued therapy aims for the client’s well-being, problem resolution, and life advancement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, I am certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy by the American School of Hypnosis. I combine this certification with years of experience in psychotherapy and quantum medicine to offer a holistic and integrative approach.

It’s completely natural to feel concerned that you might accidentally reveal something personal during hypnosis. Let me reassure you – throughout the entire process, you remain fully aware and in control of what you choose to share. Hypnosis is simply a state of focused relaxation, and your free will stays active at all times. I strictly follow professional ethical standards that guarantee your privacy and confidentiality – everything discussed in our sessions stays between us. You will never be forced to say anything you’re not comfortable with; sharing is always entirely your choice and directed by what helps you.

My role is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where you can feel protected and comfortable. Many myths about hypnosis come from movies and TV, but in reality, it’s a process based on trust and your active participation. If you have any concerns, we can openly discuss them before the session begins.

The number of sessions depends entirely on your situation and goals. In our first session, usually lasting between 90 and 120 minutes, I’ll take time to understand what you’re aiming for. Based on that, I’ll suggest a personalized plan. Some people notice significant improvement after just one or two sessions, while others may need several to achieve their goals.

For common challenges like anxiety, stress, or quitting habits, we typically work over 3 to 6 sessions, but this can vary. I’ll monitor your progress and adjust the plan if needed. Open communication is always welcome – together, we’ll find what works best for you. My priority is that you feel supported throughout the entire process.

Yes, hypnotherapy can definitely be combined with other therapies. In fact, clinical research shows that using hypnotherapy alongside methods like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can improve results, particularly when addressing anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), PTSD, and pain management. Combining these approaches allows for a more comprehensive and effective treatment tailored to your needs.

If you ever feel that therapy isn’t helping, please say it openly. That’s not a problem — it’s something we can work through together. Sometimes, a small change in method, pace, or approach can help. And sometimes, working with a different therapist may feel right — that’s completely okay too. What matters is that you find the support that truly helps you.
